Offerings

WaSAP employs innovative, low-cost technologies and a self-supply approach to address water, sanitation, and hygiene challenges in target communities. We therefore primarily use EMAS technology but have also broadened our scope to operate in a wide range of areas.

Wells and boreholes of low cost technology (EMAS)

Wells and boreholes using low-cost EMAS technology are our core product. They include innovative solutions for water storage, mechanized or manual pumping over both horizontal and vertical distances, and even water heating through solar energy.

More complex well systems

Our focus is on providing affordable, locally accessible solutions, but in certain areas or situations, such as schools and large facilities, more complex well systems are needed. To address these demands, we train our teams in advanced systems like the India Mark II, ensuring we can deliver reliable water solutions in any context.

Latrines

We offer various low-cost latrine designs that are adapted to different soil profiles, ensuring that more people have access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities near their homes.

We also build conventional toilets for health centers, schools, businesses, and private homes. Each installation is designed to promote better health and sanitation in both public and private spaces.

Water filters

We sell Tulip Ceramic water filters and Smart Family Gravity water filters that filter all particles, bacteria and protozoa in drinking water. The filters also remove all taste and odor contaminants

Skill Training for Sustainable Maintenance of Technology

A central goal for us is the sustainability of our constructions. Therefore, we also offer training on the construction of the technology to empower local communities to carry out even complex repairs independently. For example, we demonstrate how to build key components of the pump themselves.

Skills training on construction of EMAS technology

The goal of EMAS is to empower people by transferring knowledge. We carry this message forward by offering training to communities, enabling them to use this technology on their own. For example, we teach them to manually drill wells, fabricate pumps and components, or construct essential hygiene facilities such as latrines.

Hygiene promotion

Unfortunately, hygiene is still not a priority in many marginalized communities, which is why hygiene promotion is a key element of our program. Our internal diversity especially helps us in this regard, because it enables us to gain access to all different groups in Serra Leone.
